Proud & Empowered is a school-based intervention for LGBTQ+ youth funded by the National Institute of Health. The program consists of two components: 10 weeks of small group sessions with students followed by a school climate intervention.

Our research is made possible by grants from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). 

PEER-REVIEWED PUBLICATIONS

To date, our team has published 2 peer-reviewed articles on the development of the Proud & Empowered program and its efficacy in reducing behavioral health symptoms in LGBTQ+ adolescents experiencing minority stress.
